The family-owned and operated firm offers legal advice and representation for a wide range of practice areas including accident cases, bankruptcy, business law, commercial litigation, criminal defense, elder law and estate planning, family law, labor and employment law, and real estate transactions, development, and taxes.

The Firm was founded by brothers Richard and Joseph Agresti in 1936 based out of the historic Baldwin Building (now the Renaissance Center). They were joined by Joseph's son Charles in 1967 and by Richard's son Thomas in 1972. Tom was appointed a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania in 2004.

Charles' sons David and Michael joined the firm in 1997 and 2001 respectively, as the third generation of Agresti attorneys. In 2007, Agresti Law Firm moved from its West 10th Street location to its present site at 4934 Peach Street in order to be more centrally located for its numerous clients throughout Erie and Crawford Counties.
