Back in 1954, Ed Mascharka Sr. had a vision. He came up with the concept of starting a business to distribute custodial equipment to area businesses. Since then, Janitors Supply has grown exponentially into what is now its third generation of family ownership and fourth generation of children as employees. The company is currently under the direction of President, Edward Mascharka III and Vice President of Sales, Thomas Mascharka.

The same ideals and goals of Mascharka Sr. still hold true today. At Janitors Supply, their mission is to provide the best products available. Through a variety of innovative distribution methods and support from their professional sales staff, they deliver the best to their vast clientele. “Our core business is distributing janitorial supplies and equipment, but we also provide bar and restaurant supplies and packaging products, and we're known for sanding and refinishing gymnasium floors,” says Ed Mascharka.

“We will continue to make our mark for many years to come,” states Tom Mascharka. “Over the years we have acquired other janitorial supply companies as well as their clients. This key strategy has allowed us to become the area's largest distributor of janitorial supplies — reaching 5 states including Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, West Virginia and Maryland, stocking well beyond 6,500 products. We have grown to be a multi-million dollar corporation with 90,000 square feet of inventory space at our three regional locations Erie, Altoona and Uniontown.”

At Janitors Supply, the customer service and sales representatives share a common goal. “We want to form a team-like dynamic between clients, so that we can understand their needs and help meet their objectives,” states Ed Mascharka. “We constantly educate our service and sales force with product knowledge and the progression of business trends — so that we can provide clients with the highest level of service at the lowest possible price.”Back in 1954, Ed Mascharka Sr. had a vision.
